Aroma of pie spices, especially clove. Slightly hazy amber color with a quickly disappearing head. Starts with clove, hit of carbonation, finishes with clovey veggie flavor. Clove persists. Interesting. At least it is not squash.

Light orange body with a light tan head. Aroma is pumpkin pie. Flavor is fairly mild hops, topped by pumpkin, nutmeg and allspice. Nice, but nothing you’d ever have a hankering for.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2004 (Bottle) This ale poured a deep cooper color with very little head. Had a strong pumkin and cinnamon aroma. Tasted like pumpkin pie with a bitter bite at the end.

12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. The first pumpkin spice beer of the year! The malicious and hateful summer will soon be mercifully past, leading to the bliss that is winter. Hazy orange-brown pour with no head. Fruity apple-cider like aroma with heavy nutmeg notes as well as hints of some other spices. A trt and fruity taste mild showing pumpkin and then the spices. All of the spices are noticeable in the taste. I like the spice profile, but the beer seems to be tart in a way that it shouldn’t.
