An amber style ale, originally brewed by George Washington, brewed with fresh roasted pumpkins, malted barley. Cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg are added. Bottled form is brewed under contract by Portland Brewing Co.

Palatable ale with strong pumpkin and spice flavors to it. I liked it, may not be for everybody.

Bottle. Pours an orangey (pumpkin-hued) amber with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is your standard pumpkin pie smell, maybe a bit tilted to the cloves. Taste is about the same (particularly with regard to the clove), though unlike other pumpkin beers it is pretty much the only thing you taste - no beeriness, no weird grain flavors, no sour notes. Palate is a little watery. Definitely one of the better pumpkin beers I’ve had this year (and most years, actually).

Slightly cloudy orange amber color with a decent head. Aroma is pumpkin with spices, and a faint hint of malt. Flavor is mostly pumpkin pie spice with some bitter at the finish.

I have to disagree that the taste wasn’t overwhelming with pumpkin. I could anticipate the pumpkin from the aroma and it was very strong on my opinion. I did not like this beer because the pumpkin was too strong.

Wanted to love it, but unfortunately, it was just mediocre. Very pumpkin in the nose. Very spicy on the palate with less pumpkin than expected. Slightly watery thinnish mouthfeel. Good, but definitely not great.

good amount of real pumpkin flavor in the finish, but im not getting the pumpkin pie experience I like in a pumpkin ale...thin and no spice

Not the best Pumpkin beer I have had but it worked in a pinch. Great cool fall day drinking. Well rounded ale but the spice was down played and the malt/barley took over and that to me in not a good thing with this style beer. I liked Ship Yard much better.

Out of bottle flat, sweet, just a very mediocre pumpkin ale. Last years I thought was better. Just not a lot a going on here.

12 oz- Light orange with an off-white bubbly head. Spicey aroma but flavor of a smoked beer. Just OK
