Sep 20, 2002 Black color, medium head. Roasted malts, pronounced chocolate flavor. Dry hopped. Good balance of malts and hops. Finish is smooth and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and slightly sweet.

Jul 19, 2001 Dark brown with caramel and coffee aromas. Very pleasant particulate mouth feel like a partial fining or filtration. It’s good but with the brewery’s description being something black with chocolate aromas, I think this may be a bit thin. Still very nice.
