Fizzy dark brown pour. Aroma of chocolate covered blueberries. Blueberries and roast and bitter chocolate on the palate, but unfortunately not enough malt to balance the berry fruit dominance. On the thin side.

Pours a dark dark brown with a thin tan head.... Aroma of blueberry, roasted malt and a hint of coffee... Taste of blueberry with a bit of sweet roasted malts behind it... Medium bodied until i swallow then it feels very heavy... Weird...

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of blueberry, cookie, cocoa, light vanilla and light carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of blueberry, cocoa, cookie and light vanilla with a smooth dry lingering lightly bitter fruity finish. My bottle says 7.5% ABV.

12 oz bottle from Enniskillen. Nose is blueberries, coffee, some light sweetness, and some flowery hops. Clear, very dark brown with a small beige head. Flavor is slightly sweet blueberries and chocolate with a bitter soapy note. Not nearly as good as the Big Sky Slow Elk Oatmeal Stout I had last night. Drinkable but a little sweet and the odd soapiness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheBeerOrg (2136) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 7, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2009 Pours near black with reddish hues and a mostly receding tan head. Aroma of blueberry extract, chocolate malt. Tastes of blueberry extract, tin, chocolate, toffee. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Nice stout, but a bit thin and fake compared to the delicious Tres.

12 oz. bottle from the Binny’s Singles Rack (Orland Park, IL). Pours a very dark brown, opaque-ish with black spots and a tannish head that is moderate in amound and begins to dissipate to a smaller level. Aromas are largely just blueberry, some natural and some sweet juice like notes. Malt really doesn’t come through. A bit cloying in the nose. Initial is a bit sweet up front, moving to lighter sweet blueberry, some light roasted malt with some decent bitterness, and a bit of an astringent feel that is a little unpleasant. Not a smooth brew as expected. Leaves a light aftertaste of subtle blueberry and chocolate with some burnt notes along the way. Ehhhh. Something I won’t be personally purchasing in the future.

Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is over powering of blueberries with only a hint of roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. Flavor is pretty much blueberries. A slight hint of stout on the finish. More of a fruit beer then a stout. Disappointing.

Rather uneventful beer. Smells strongly of Blueberries or a bluberry Yankee candle, which to me is a plus, but other than that, not much else shows through. light malt and blueberry flavor, hints of oats and vanilla. meh.

Draft at the brewpub. Black pour with thin film on top. Aroma is sweet blueberries and some dark malt. Flavor is the same, overly sweet, good amount of blueberry.

From a bottle at the brewpub. Generously overed by our waitress. Enjoyed with golubj. Aroma of blueberry, oatmeal, roasted malt and cocoa. I said this was really darn good, like a homo. Blueberry, orasted malt and oatmel. Surprisingly good.
