3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Courtesy of Matta. The aroma is comprised, as one might expect if they carefully investigated the malt bill of the beer, interviewed the principles involved with its creation and production or read the beerís label, mostly of a strong blueberry aroma.
Chocolate is present as well, but it a chalky, low-grade version or rather it gives off the aroma of one. The blueberry itself smells a touch chemical in origin, but I do not know that it is. The body is full black and supports a diminishing, but creamy mocha head. The first sip is quite sweet. Chocolate, coffee and blueberry, which again seem to have the slightly bitter and alcohol-tinged taint of a chemical source, make up the bulk of the middle flavor ranges. The finish is mostly comprised of dark fruit and chocolate but the aftertaste is of perfume and chemical solvents. The mouth feel is full and thick though which makes it enjoyable to swallow if not necessarily to taste.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
kinda a unique beer but in a good way, the taste of cocoa and coffee is there but the flavor of blueberry is kinda interesting in the overall flavor.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is nice with blueberry, coffee, toasted malt, and chocolate. The appearance is dark brown with a tan head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall it’s OK.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle from Grapes and Barley.
Big blueberry aroma from open bottle that dissipated to notes of roast and chocolate malts. Black with big creamy tan head. Roast malt flavors with some blueberry in the background with a moderate hop bitterness. Medium body with low carbonation. Medium dry finish with some nice roast and bitterness lingering.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle on 07/03/2008. Black body with a large creamy tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate and blueberries in the aroma. More roasted and chocolate malt with blueberries shining through followed by a mild bitter finish. Certainly not overpowered by fruit, and well balanaced. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Pours midnight black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is a nice swirl of blueberry, coffee and chocolate. Full-bodied and creamy with prickly carbonation. Sweet, acrid and fruity. Chocolate, blueberry and coffee with decent bitterness. Surprisingly well-done. Iíll be drinking more of this. Underrated, I think.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pour was deep brown-black, nice choco colored head, lacing was decent on the way down. Aroma was full chocoalte, light roast, totally missed the blueberries, kids were upset they didnít smell it either. The flavor was full chocolate, roast, and blueberries, which came on much stronger as it warmed. The mouthfeel was grainy, somewhat gritty even, a bit of a turnoff (think sand or something like that in the beer), adding in there a touch of a metallic taste.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A big fan of blueberry berry until the end of time. Pours pitch black, opaque colour with a tan head. Aromas strong of blueberries, and soft oats. Creamy mouthfeel, chocoaltey, coffee, oatmeal, and blueberries. Nice beer overall. very fun to sip on during the cold winter months.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Thin light brown head of fine bubbles. Head dissipates quickly. Intense blueberry aroma with some roasted grains and a hint of chocolate malt. Kind of smells like the cereal Boo-berry. Color is a very dark brown. Nice and roasty flavor . Little bit dry and astringent. The blueberry flavor is no where near as intense as the aroma. Lots of roasted grains, dark chocolate and a bit of coffee. Finishes roasty and fruity. An interesting gimmick but not a good beer.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
THOUGHTS: Bought a six-pack of this and never thought I would finish it. I thought it was disgusting at first, but a few days later It really grew on me. I still donít think itís great, but it is good. Iím not even sure if Iím rating the right beer here, The one I had said it was 7.5% ABV and was described as an oatmeal, blueberry stout. I felt a little funny drinking this from a flute, but it did taste better in a flute than in an English pint glass. The more of it I drank, the more appealing it became. This was not a beer for the faint of heart.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, dark brown, that was nearly black in the glass with lots of red highlights and a small to average fizzy, light tan head that almost fully diminished and left fair to good lacing. The aroma was light burnt malt and maybe a hint of chocolate, but mostly blueberry. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and acidic; while the finish was moderately sweet, lightly acidic, heavily bitter and slightly sour with a long duration. It started with sweet blueberries then moved toward sour and bitter ones with a little burnt malt.
