Very dark - black. Good thick tan head. Nice aroma of chocolate with a tad of blueberry aroma. Taste is a nice mix of dark toasted malt, those blueberries, and the nice thickness of the oatmeal.

12 oz bottle, courtesy of Roger at Enoteca. Thank you sir! Pours dark dark brown, almost black with a thin beige head that falls after a minute or so, leaving a collar. Aroma is blueberry and roasty grain. Taste starts out sweet and tart before becoming bitter mid-sip and remaining that way through the finish. The blueberries are very much apparent. Carbonation is average, body is medium to thin. Tastes good to me!

12oz bottle. Nearly pitch black in color, minimal light tan head. Some visible sediment. My mom had a taste, she found it to taste like "cola". I think it’s sort of a licorice taste, but the nose is straight blueberry pie. Lighter carbonation, but kind of a weird dark fruit aftertaste. Too much blueberry, not enough oatmeal stout. Musty ripe sweetness. More of a fruit beer than a stout, sadly.

A dark red beer with a small fading tan head. The aroma is dominated by dried blueberries. The flavor doesn’t do much with the stout aspect, just slightly bittersweet with blueberry. Pretty underwhelming.

Alas... how terrible. Dark beer with a thin, white head. Awesome blueberry muffin aromas. However... it tastes really bad. Medicinal, blueberry syrup taste is quite bitter, and it is paired horribly with the taste of mud. It tastes as if someone put dirt in medicine. Bitter aftertaste. I was really looking forward to this, but maybe I got a bad bottle. I will try this one again.

So it smells good and looks good, the body is a nice dark oatmeal stout, more tasting of dark grains and roast, the end has the tartness of blueberries without a whole lot of flavor or sweetness. Its interesting.

Bottle:   Nearly black, moreso a deep cola, large light beige head, frothy, sticky lacing.   Pale blueberries on the nose.   Moreso a pepper, white pepper maybe.   A little less pepper on the tongue, more blueberry.   Very soft roasted malts.   Hardly seems a stout and more of a Fruit Beer.   I think thats the pepper that is outdoing the malts.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean finish, lingering pepper.   This one is actually a bit better than I expected.

deep, wintry, perfect for a rainy night by the woodstove with board games and friends.

This is a good, unique stout. A bit thinner than most oatmeal stouts. Distinct blueberry-smoky-coffee flavor prominant. Very nice like buffalo bill’s cream ale (orange) and their pumpkin ale

Pours a fairly black color with a big off white head and good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is black pepper, human sweat, and blueberries.... pretty much in that order. Ewww. It is remarkable how much this smells like black pepper and human sweat though, some really wild aromas to conjure up in a blueberry oatmeal stout.

The flavor is more black pepper and blueberries... hey neither of these flavors is offensive... but have you ever heard of putting black pepper on blueberries? I’ve never been incined to do so, but this beer will remind me of how terrible that would taste for years to come. There is plenty of alcohol flavor in this beer as well. The beer is moderately sweet and has a mild roast. The booziness reminds me a lot of high gravity Malt liquor (and not in a good way).

Boy, I don’t really know what else to say here. I didn’t expect much from this beer, but this is really not very enjoyable overall. I can see some charm shining through but I’m not sure I’m going to be able to finish the bottle.
