Black, little head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and blueberry. Chocolate and blueberry would probably work, but the coffee and blueberry is just straight up odd. Flavor matches, and is even stranger than the nose. Not sure if I would have picked the flavor as blueberry or not if I had not been told, I may have just described it as a bizarre, out of place fruit finish. This was not bad, but it was somehow quite far from good as well.

Muddy brown pour with a weird fizzy tan head. Not lookin good. Smells like fake blueberries and strangely perfume-y. Holy shit....man, that is something else. I can’t even really begin to describe it. Like blueberry soap.

Bottle from Ralph’s. Strong roasty smell. Some coffee and a little bit of fruitiness. The flavor is pretty interesting. It tastes like a pretty good stout, but with an odd kick. It’s a decent brew, but I’m not sure the flavors worked too well together.

Dark reddish-purple-brown... Explosive medium tan head with pillowed center. Scent is, as advertised....Blueberry, chocolate, oatmeal... Taste is just the same...and it’s not good. slightly tart and bitter. Not a fan of this. Just tastes gimmicky and cheap. highly unpleasant.

Dark brown pour. Small head. Aroma has definite blueberry and chocolate notes. Mouth is full with hints of blueberry, chocolate and roasted malt.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2012 Very Blueberry nose. Dark mahogany color. Piney with an herbal grassy taste a subtle blueberry flavor. The beer starts smooth and becomes bitter towards the end of your mouth. A bit strange for a blueberry beer. Very specific taste, very different.

sulawang (218) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 30, 2012
Pours dark brown/purple with a small dissipating head, micro CO2, barely any lacing, ringed retention, barely visible slowly moving CO2 streams. Light real blueberry aromas on the nose. Blueberry flavour is there right up front, mixed with med-thick malts, light roast, mild purple grape, 6/10-level sweetness in the mids, creamy mouthfeel, sake-like floralness and a light 4/10-level bitterness at the end. Medium complexity, medium-depth, quite good transitions, good carry, decent length, great drinkability (must be in a chilled glass!). Blueberry flavour is present but you have to look for it. Smooth for 7.5% ABV.
