I was skeptical when my fiance broght this to my attention. I was plesently surprised. Blueberry flavor balanced well. Which will probably prove to be tuff in the homebrew lab. Everything else I make with blueberries is overloaded with blueberry flavor. Dark in the glass Slight aroma of blueberries Balance of bitter sweet

Appearance: Pours a relatively clear, dark, reddish-brown body with a wispy, light beige head. Smell: Aroma smelling of light chocolate and roasted barley, all set against some particularly strong wafts of blueberry additive. Taste: A taste of darkened grains with a subdued taste of unsweetened chocolate powder. Curiously, there’s an inherent, unpleasant astringency to whole thing. But, then here comes the tart blueberry tones, though, unfortunately, they have some rather artificial qualities to them. A pity. Finishes with a touch of roasty bitterness and more of that displeasing astringency. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: No, thank you. If you’re in desperate need for a blueberry-based stout, please turn your attention rightfully to Dark Horse’s Tres Blueberry Stout. The unrewarding blueberry flavoring couldn’t (and could never) make up for a deficient stout.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown. Has a very weak nose , slightly sweet. Light in the body. overpowing blueberry taste with light chocolate undertones

Pours very dark with a crimson hue and a large soapy tan head. The aroma has a lot of blueberries that seem real. There is also some pepper, but little stout traits. Medium body with some prickly but gentle carbonation. The flavor starts peppery and medicinal with some blueberries and toasted malt. The finish is fruity and sharp. This wasn’t great, but much better than expected.

Bottle from bottleworks. Pours a super dark blue (when held to the light) with minimal tan head. Weak aroma of blueberries and hints of currant and chocolate. Unfortunately, it’s downhill from there. This was super hoppy and far more bitter than I expected. This was incredibly lively and foo long on the tongue, leaving a bad aftertaste.

Had some roasty notes, light hint of blueberry. Ehhh, not that bad, but not that ogoed. was not that impressed. I expceted much more buffalo.

12 oz bottle. Deep brown with a loose tan head. Nose is bittersweet chocolate, roasty malt and a decent blueberry aroma. Nice bittersweet chocolate flavor with a good, complementary blueberry sweetness. A mild bitterness pops up late, a roasty bite followed by more blueberry in the finish. Excellent sheetlike lace. Really a pleasant drinker. A nice surprise!
