During the remodel of our 1930s building, we stumbled upon an old brewer’s logbook with the original recipe of the first beer brewed on the premises, in July of ’83. We’ve carefully crafted the same recipe today – a light lager with 4% alcohol, brewed with Cascade hops.

Sample at the brewpub on 8/7/10. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Corny and malty nose with subtle noble hops. Corny and malty flavor with a crisp, yet sweet hop finish.

Pours pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma is lemony and crisp. The flavor is light with strong notes of buttered bread. Better than the macros.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with no lasting head. Aroma is butterish. Light caramelish. Sweet and butterish flavoured. Mild citrusy note. Flat malty and butterish finish.

Draft at the brewpub! Lightly hazy yellow with a medium white head. Nose has slight sweetness and grain with some light floral accents. Flavor of lightly sweet creamed corn with very light bitterness in the finish.

Very standard pale lager here. Nothing stands out about this brew. But, there’s no flaws with it either.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a pale yellow color with a longlasting white head. Has a malty grainy and slightly hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy flavor. Has a malty grainy finish.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2008 Pours pale golden with Champagne like bubbles that persist throughout. I’m not a big lager fan, but this one was quite nice, with a biscuit breadyness and clean, subtle bitter finish.
