Sample at the brewpub on 8/7/10. Clear dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Nose is sorta metallic, but still has notes of chocolate and roast. Creamy chocolate flavor with a nice roasty and somewhat sweet finish.

Nice, rich stout. It pours dark brown with ruby tinged edges. The aroma is roasted grains, coffee, and toffee. The flavor is the same. I really appreciate the mouthfeel on this one. Velvety smooth and rich without being overpowering. I agree that it’s a little too sweet, but overall, it’s an enjoyable beer.
