2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-apricot color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dry, minty, herbal, a bit earthy and had a piney presence. The flavor was tart and tangy mint, perfume, herbal hosp and faint citrus. Medium length tart and tangy min and perfume finish. Medium body. Ok.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Total Wine in Boca Raton, FL. Pilsner glass. Deep amber-orange color with significant haze. Very thin white head. Little lacing. The aroma is grass, apricot, smoke and bread. (Not sure where the smoke comes from but it seemed smoky to me.) Taste is very malty with dark fruits and floral notes. It also has kind of a smoke, roasted flavor on the finish. Dry finish as well. Maybe my palette is off today. A little odd, but not too bad.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
the devil on a sunday. from a bottle garnered from vintage. clean smell, somewhat volatile. nice thik creamy head. fades to a cloudy pale looking thing. first taste is rather alky. comes across like medicine. seems like much more than 7%. aroma goes somewhat metallic. I know buffalo for the milder beers, somewhat surprising. nasty nellie from the pirates. for a strong beer, it does have decent carbonation sizzle. overall, not impressed

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Buffalo Bill’s Tasmanian Devil. Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a nice amber orange color with a fluffy head. The nose is mostly citrus with nice orange notes. The flavor has a solid caramel and malt backbone with a good orange and touch of grass. Medium mouthfeel with a medium finish. I was surprised to see this as an English Strong Ale. I was guessing IPA the whole way.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A strong orange-fruit aroma that I loved. Nice. A good hop flavor up front and in the finish. The orange notes work well. A good beer for the girls too.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle poured into glass. Not sure why this would be under the category of English strong ale. It taste pretty much like a regular IPA. Nice hoppy presence with a solid malt backing.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light hazy amber with a thin, fine head that fades quickly. Bready aromas accompanied by light caramel and a sublte noble hop spice; surprising Belgian-esque phenols. Full bodied with caramel and light anise, low noble hop flavor with medium finishing bitterness. A seriously underrated beer in my opinion.
