4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light hazy amber with a thin, fine head that fades quickly. Bready aromas accompanied by light caramel and a sublte noble hop spice; surprising Belgian-esque phenols. Full bodied with caramel and light anise, low noble hop flavor with medium finishing bitterness. A seriously underrated beer in my opinion.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark orange pour with a white head. Nose is really bland. Some orange, bread, grass, and toast. A very vegetal aroma, some water, and a hint of spice. Tastes of bread, water, toast, and grass. Lightly vegetal, some solvent, and mild citrus peel. A light to moderate bitterness, grassy hops, and a touch of toffee.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured up on tap at Buffalo Bill’s with clear copper body and gold edges supporting up an off white head and leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is a little spicy with hops as well as some floral hops too. The taste is similar with a mix of spicy to floral hoppiness followed by a modest amount of vague hop bitterness.

Great appeance and nice head. I jsut don’t like the choice of hops. Seems a little harsh to me and for the price not worth it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Malt and wet grain aroma. Nice silky palate but rather disappointing taste of bland malts followed by a satisfying whole grain bread finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample at the brewpub on 8/7/10. Pours a clear gold with a medium off-white head. Aroma is cascade hop and a bit of malt, but mostly non-deScript. Decent hop and malt balance in the flavor, but the hops don’t have much character. Not a bad beer, but kinda boring.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours gold with a thin off white head. The aroma is nondeScript with some mild notes of fruity hops and toffee. The flavor is the same with a strong alcohol presence considering the ABV. Tasty, but a lackluster finish.

11th October 2008. GABF. Hazy gold beer. Champagne dry but the hops are tepid and apologetic. Nothing special!
