Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Poured into a Michelob Celebrate! tulip. :) Pours coppery gold with a slight white head. Aroma of malt and some rather unusual hops. Med body. Flavor is malty, but there are some floral, fruit and herb aspects to help with that. Thereís a tree bark/twig aspect. It tries to be astringent, but not quite dry enough for that. This isnít super today, but itís nice to see the past brought back, and this would have been dynamite 30 years ago. Iím liking it.

From a bottle into a Sierra Nevada stem glass. Pours orange amber with head and lace. Aroma of pale malts, orange zest. Medium carbonation and significant mouthfeel. Flavors of rich malts, grains, tangerine zest, powder sugar, candy sugar, slight molassas. Overall rich, unique, flavorful, nice!

Bottle: Hazy amber with a tall, yellow-white head. Honey, grain malt, leafy hop aroma. Taste is mild and sweet...caramel malt, grain, a little bit of tea and fruit. Actually, pretty good....a nice surprise from a brewery I havenít been too impressed with over the years...

12 oz bottle: Aroma haas got a nice pungent resin like hop note with a light grainy malt backing. Appearance is a ever so slightly amber golden with a thick white head that lingers. Taste is mildly bitter with an intermingling play between the hops and the malt. Palate is medium to low carbonation with a light hop aftertaste. Overall, Pretty darn good stuff. Cheers!

Deep and dark flavor of malt, raisin, caramel, cherry. Light hops with mild bitterness through the finish that thins out quite a bit.

Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of roasted, nutty and caramel, moderate herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with toffee, brown sugar, paper, and faint sherry and spices in the background. Head is huge, rocky, off-white with excellent but slippery lacing and is fully lasting. Color is sparkling clear copper. Flavor starts moderately sweet and finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, creamy with a soft to lively carbonation. A pretty good English Strong Ale from Buffalo Billís, a first for me.

Amber bodied with a slender white head, this has an aroma of dried stone fruit with a touch of old wood and mayhaps a hit of zest. Very thick mouthfeel here. The taste is much like the nose. There is the addition of some earthy, piney, and zesty bitterness, not strong, but loud enough so that I take notice. Not having access to this site as I write, Iím not sure what this is (i.e., how it will be categorized), but I find myself liking it more as I drink on.
