The body was a deep lightly hazy gold. A light white head on top. The aroma was socks with some cantaloupe. The taste was more cantaloupe with some grainy notes. A little bit of green wood.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Braudog (4606) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - APR 2, 2008
Draft pint at the brewpub. Dark golden with quite the attractive carbonation ... but the head doesn’t seem to retain well as their red. The aroma is slightly biscuity. This certainly presents a bit of grainy mustiness, but it also brings a fruity twist. Fully flavored, yet "everyday". (#3366, 3/31/2008)
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 phaleslu (3534) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 16, 2010
Pint at the brewpub with dinner before a SLU game. Pours a mostly clear pale golden color with a small white head that leaves a film all the way down. Aroma is weak (once again, they serve too cold), but eventually grain, wheat, straw, pale malts, and a little honey emerge. The flavor stays along those lines, with maybe a hint of grassy hops. Everything is pretty light here, with modest carbonation and a grainy mouthfeel. I am with lushawn here in that this falls somewhere between a pale ale and blond ale, but not a particularly interesting version of either.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Strykzone (3132) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 29, 2009
Enjoyed at the brewpub. A golden beer with little head or carbonation. Aroma and flavor is faint malt and grain. My least favorite of the sampler.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 vyvvy (2920) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - APR 18, 2008
Pours yellow / gold with a white head. The aroma is musty and malty with light spice and comes off fairly clean. Medium body, but not nearly has crisp as normal for the style. Starts off malty with some creaminess and some hop spice. The finish has a milky aspect that doesn’t work for me. This is decent overall, but its not doing a whole lot for me.

Tasted 4/10/08. Sampler from the brewpub. Slightly hazy with a golden hue. Cereal and soggy malt aromas. Light and crisp. Touch sugary. Nice yeast character. Mild effervescence and slightly tart. Tasty and session.
