Draft pint at the brewpub. Dark golden with quite the attractive carbonation ... but the head doesn’t seem to retain well as their red. The aroma is slightly biscuity. This certainly presents a bit of grainy mustiness, but it also brings a fruity twist. Fully flavored, yet "everyday". (#3366, 3/31/2008)

Sample from beer fest. Going off notes. Pretty average beer at best. Poured a light yellow color with no real head. Aroma was corn and malts. Flavor was weak. Grass, corn and metallic flavors. Not a whole lot to this beer. Thin and watery body. Average to below average.

Enjoyed from a sampler. A golden beer with little head or carbonation. Aroma and flavor is faint malt and grain. My wifes favorite of the sampler.

Pint at the brewpub with dinner before a SLU game. Pours a mostly clear pale golden color with a small white head that leaves a film all the way down. Aroma is weak (once again, they serve too cold), but eventually grain, wheat, straw, pale malts, and a little honey emerge. The flavor stays along those lines, with maybe a hint of grassy hops. Everything is pretty light here, with modest carbonation and a grainy mouthfeel. I am with lushawn here in that this falls somewhere between a pale ale and blond ale, but not a particularly interesting version of either.

Part of the sampler tray. Nothing special to note about their beer. Would likely not return nor would seek out Buffalo brand.

Narnad (1147) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - OCT 12, 2009
Arrived a very clear, pale yellow color with a big white head that quickly fell. Aroma had a slight lemon, light grainy and stronger than normal yeasty note. Flavor has an overall yeasty note, slightly dry, lemon sweet ending (like lemon meringue flavor), slightly bready overall. Smooth texture, moderate body, low lacing. Overall a good brew but this batch had a semi-heavy yeasty character to it for the blonde styling.

On tap at Buffalo Brewing Co. Semi hazy golden yellow with next to no head. Aroma of malt, grain and mild fruit Taste of fruit, sweet malt and light hops. Lively body leads to a clean and dry finish.
