Draft at the brewpub, served in a tumbler. Pours a hazy yellow-orange color with a small white head that vanishes instantly, leaving only a few bubbles around the inner edge of the glass. Aroma of wheat, mellow orange citrus, clove, coriander, floral notes (must be the chamomile), and straw. Not really getting any hops in the nose, but some floral hops show up in the flavor, along with wheat, orange, and peppery spices. Peppery finish. Medium-bodied, with sharp carbonation and a citrusy mouthfeel. Not particularly smooth, like many other wits, because of the sharp, spicy, citrusy edge to it, but it’s crisp and refreshing.
