UPDATED: FEB 4, 2011 Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a slightly hazy yellow color with a thin and compact white head that evaporates slowly. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bananas and cloves. Light and clean body with flavors of wheat, yeast and banana. The finish is mildly spiced with a fruity aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Draft at the brewpub, served in a tumbler. Pours a cloudy orange-gold color with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, tangerine citrus, yeast, and clove, without any banana to speak of. Flavor of tangerine, wheat, clove, sweet malts, and yeast. Medium-bodied, with crisp carbonation and a citrus juice mouthfeel. Simple, and a nice beer to break up my bike ride home on a summer day.

Part of the sampler tray. Nothing special to note about their beer. Would likely not return nor would seek out Buffalo brand.

Arrived to the table a cloudy orange with a pretty small head. Aroma had a slight orange/lemon citrus note, slight coriander, wheat and a hefty yeast presence at the end. Flavor has an orange and wheat note first with some a modest yeasty presence afterword. Very heavy feeling with a slightly creamy texture due to the huge amount of yeast in there. Overall a very good hefe with an overall sweet note. Props to them for keeping the yeast high as most brewpubs tend to favor the more conservative side when retaining yeast within their hefes, it definitely made this brew.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. A golden beer that is cloudy and just a bit dirty looking. Aroma is clove with a hint of bubble gum. Flavor is pretty much the same. There is a mild bitterness. Mild effervescence. An interesting hefe. Enjoyed.
