Color is a near black amber with good carbonation and a tall light tan head. Aroma of yeast, sweet fruits and roasted malt. Taste is crisp with a mild sweetness. Starting with a lighter medium body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish is a mild malt sweetness that gives off flavors of raisin, vanilla and a light toffee taste then an easy bitterness rolls in. After taste is dry and slightly bland. Overall its a tasty brew but leans more on the Belgian flavors then Stout. UnholyBrewing (451), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia

Weird burnt things on the nose, with some slight dark malt notes. Black color with a very small brown head that goes away quickly. Not smooth and creamy enough to be a real stout. It wasn’t too bad though considering, I mean it was alright, and drinkable. But I only had one, so I don’t really know. I bet it’s better on tap. Bosskie (108), Netherlands

A delicious, creamy blend of stout coffee chocolatiness and Tripel yeasty sweetness. Smooth! Fruitiness, subtle, a fantastic beer! Rciesla (3915), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/20 | Sep 12, 2005 Aroma of devon and assorted dodgy smoked small goods, a small amount of roast choc and green pinecones. Nice mouthfeel and presence, with some roasty character but the boiled meat flavour, very wrong tasting, just plain wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong! No beer should taste like meat! Piney bitterness is a bit unpleasant on the finish. bluevegie (2232), Perth, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 7, 2005 Black in body with light brown head. Soy sauce and harsh malt aromas. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium bodied, aniseed, floating particles, even burnt tar, Wheat in there ? Hints of Vegemite and pine, I like stouts but my home brew is probably a lot smoother and bitter.
