thehipone (197), Australia Dec 26, 2004 During the tasting at the tap room I expected this one to be a bit hoppier, seeing how most of the previous examples had been pretty malty sweet. Wel, this one was sweet too. Pours out dark brown with a creamy off-white head. Has an aroma like nuts and chocolate. THe mouthfeel is pretty smooth, it has light carbonation and a medium body. Starts out with a bold, but not sickly sweet malt flavor followed by a finish that is lightly bitter and has hints of lightly toasted malt. Probably the best of the tap room’s malt driven beers. IPFreely (1470), Niagara Falls, New York, USA Oct 17, 2003 An average, but not bad, brown ale. Sweet malt aroma and flavor. Decent body. Needs a bit of work. frylock (950), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 21, 2003 Nothing too impressive here, but not a bad offering. Some sweet malt flavors with a slight hint of chocolate. Pretty average beer.
