COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned, Seasonal;
A strong, spicy and warming ale brewed once a year to celebrate Christmas. Best enjoyed beside a roaring log fire, this complex fruity beer has been brewed using the finest roasted Maris Otter malt, blended with new world hops to produce a truly memorable flavour. This is a bottle conditioned beer, which contains sediment. Serve cool, never chilled. Allow to stand, pour carefully and enjoy.

Cask Stillage at the Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt, Liverpool 19/02/2004 Mid brown coloured and fruity with some alcohol present. Slightly spicy flavour with a hint of bitterness in a hop finish.

Rodders (137) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2009
(Bottle from Waitrose) Poured a dark cloudy red with no head. Had a soapy fruit like aroma, with a hint of cinnamon. Soap was evident in the taste as well although it wasn’t unpleasant, a bit aromatic with more red fruit. Quite sweet with not much bitterness to round out the flavour. After taste was fairly clean. Nothing special, but not undrinkable. Enjoyable to an extent.
