Clear medium to dark brown color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, old malt, dusty, earth, burnt notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (080808)

Cask@GBBF2008. Deep ruby colour, small brown bubbly head. Aroma is mild roast, dark fruits and quite meaty. Also some slight coffeeish notes. Flavour is roasted malts, dark fruits and ends in some mild vegetably and spicy notes.

Cask at GBBF 08. Very dark brown, lasting beige head. For a 4.2% beer it hasn’t got a lot of body, some mild plum fruit flavour. It is very very mild, which I like in a mild. Brewed very much to the style, some would say empty in the body, but it’s supposed to be. Good strawberry jam on finish. Some vegetal flavour. The strawberry is nice tough. A good dark fruity mild.

Aroma is not really a mild. Slightly spicy peppery hops, citrus and fruity malts. Taste is similar very drinkable and bitter, but not really what i wanted which is annoying.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Red brown with malty head. A heavier mild than usual, nice and malty with a fruity, sweetish background. A little filled out with caramel and a dry short finish. Not the complete article for me, but decent enough.

Half pint pulled at GBBF, light brown with a thin tan head. Sweet rich roasted aroma. Medium to heavy mouthfeel, chocolate and caramal flavours and bitter in the finish,
