COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A new addition to the Buffy's range, this dark smooth beer compliments our existing lines with it's understated chocolate and roasted tones.
Brewed using Maris Otter and Pale malts, coupled with Willamette and Styrian Golding hops to give a wonderfully balanced and subtle combination of flavours.
Easy drinking beer with a little more flavour than most.

Cask, King’s Head, Carlisle. Good sweetish brown-black brew. My drinking companion was of the same opinion as me that it was more of a strong mild. Smooth, faint traces of roast, decent long finish.

500ml bottle. Deep, dark ruddy brown; mostly disappearing, loose & light orangey brown head. A surface tartness on the nose - though this gradually subsides - with an underlying smokey, roastiness & some sulphur on the swirl. On the tongue it keeps the fruit, though sweeter & not quite as acidic as the aroma indicated it might be. Very little bitterness. Some yeast. Not much oomph on the palate. Light to medium body, relatively soft mouthfeel. The fruit lingers longer than any bitterness. Another I don’t think has bottled too well. I’ll look out for it on cask for a rerate.
