03/03/2011 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 05/12/07 (probably they mean bottle date?) (2011-75)
Little cloudy amber coloured beer. Big white creamy head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, wheat, green apples, bit of citrus fruit. On warming up: caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: citrussy sour up front, followed by sweet and roasted malts, caramel, some hop bitter. Aftertaste: sweet malts, roasted malts, milk chocolate, very little sour touch.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 diabel (1537) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2006
Bottle. Orange, muddy body. Rocky to creamy, off-white head. Just a brilliant appearance. Aroma of hops, orange. (Quite weak) Lightly bitter initial flavour. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish. Very, very lovely beer. Probably the best Proef-bier I’ve ever had so far. Good balance. Off course not great (since it’s Proef), but this is a good tripel. Indeed, I’d rather call this tripel than dubbel.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Kåstå (1221) - Mol, BELGIUM - JAN 12, 2006
Blond light cloudy beer with a small head. Weak light sweet aroma. Somewhat dry yeasty taste.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 JoeinEscazú (1181) - San Jose, COSTA RICA - AUG 26, 2007
This was disappointing after its companion beer, the Totentrekker. Buitenlust is a strong blonde for those with a sweet tooth. Looks nice with a lacy, fluffy head, translucent gold. Medium-strength aroma of yeast with notes of apples, citrus and wet dust, and a touch metallic. Quite sweet from start to finish, slightly alcoholic at the end. Medium to thin body. Light bitterness with some barely detectable spicing beneath all that sugar. Some notes of apricot, rum, and again, metal. We had to dig out some salty snacks so we could finish the bottle.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 mabjork (655) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 7, 2007
Bottled. Thanx oh6gdx. Hazy golden in color, bubbly and foamy white head. The aroma is fruity and alcoholic. The flavour is a bit on the alcoholic side.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 schuimkroaat (410) - Leuven, BELGIUM - APR 27, 2007
33 cl bottle, bottled in Nov 07??? (it’s Apr 07 now) Light amber with a fine cloudiness and a rich, persistent, white froth. Aroma of honey, hay, flowers, spice. Sweet, full, round taste with a fair hint of fruit candies - apricot (let’s try our luck). A gentle peppery aftertaste. Syrupy, sticky. It’s a long time ago I tasted their Bloemenbier...?
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bhops (407) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 4, 2009
Bottle thanks to markus. Pours hazy gold, medium head. Smells like white raisens, edemame. Flavor is honey, sugar. Okay beer. Interesting.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bask (305) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 12, 2007
Amber colour, huge yeast particles, nice stable creamy head. Citric hoppy aroma, orange peels, light sugar. Initial light sweet orange flavour with some bitterness, more hoppy finish but with some sulphur.
