(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber colour with a tall and slightly tanned foamy head. Mildly sweet and leathery (cara-)malty aroma with hints of cherries, accompanied by notes of barnyard and a delicate acidity in the background. Moderately sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Cara-malty, slightly yeasty/bretty taste with notes of fruits and vinegar; sour-vinegary and tart, also quite lasting finish. 16.VI.11
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 txspartan (666) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - MAR 22, 2011
A sour ale which had some cherry juice added to it. Not a fan of cherries, not a fan of this beer.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 lusi (13) - SLOVENIA - OCT 31, 2010

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tderoeck (1593) - Gent, BELGIUM - SEP 25, 2010
25/09/2010 - 33cl @ Karakterbierfestival Bissegem
Pours a clear copper brown to red beer, fine white head. Aroma has lactose sour, green apple, geuze (bretta). MF is fresh, taste is tart, some sweet notes, geuze and caramel. Aftertaste is a little sweet and fruity with sour lemony notes. The beer tastes like a mixture of a Flemish red and a geuze, wich is no surprise if you know they added the Bretta yeasts to the red ale after brewing. Sort of cheating, but sort of very nice brew as well!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Travlr (5379) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Bottle. Dark golden color, huge tan head. Aroma of peaches and caramel. Taste is very sweet and syrupy at first, with a slightly sour finish. No detectable hops.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 oh6gdx (16024) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 24, 2010
Bottled (Best Before 2006). Ambery orange colour with mediumsized off-white/beigeish head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is sour wood, mild fruityness, some cherries as well as some mild spices. Flavour is quite similar with also some sweetish sour notes. Has aged quite well, but has some slight bothering sweetish edge, which I don’t know where it’s from.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Abio (1130) - Waasland, BELGIUM - MAY 11, 2010
Probably gonna need to review this one soon or late...Bottle that was aorund 1,5 year over the date... Was making a list of my beers, and see that this one was way to old allready... Just bought it 1 month ago... But had to taste it anyway... Maybe it gets better with the age... Amber coloured, big head that holds good, looked not bad at all. Sour-sweet-fruity smell with strawberry and other red fruits inside. Very sour, but also sweet-fruity taste, lots of carbonation, almost like a bad soda or something. Need to re-try a good bottle one day...
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 rand (820) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 10, 2010
Bottle 33 cl from bierhandel Willems in Grobbendonk (B).
Orange-brass with creamy head and nice laces stuck on the glass. Slightly acid aroma and sweetness of the malt at the same time. The yeast, apple, citrus fruits, cherries, and coriander unite for a remarkable bouquet. A different beer, juicy, delicious and refreshing. It is also lively, acid but not aggressive, touches of lambic and creamy. Nice bitter-sweet end.
