ratman197 (2150), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jan 12, 2008 On tap @ Bull and Bush poured a hazy copper with a minimal lingering off white head. Aromas of wheat, orange and light spice. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, yeast, orange and light spice with a smooth finish. Kevin (1765), Colorado, USA Mar 12, 2007 tap at the brewpub. i hate to quote other peoples ratings, but i saw aubreys while i was starting to catch up on my notes, and he hits it on the head "A lot of "weiss," but not much "dunkel.""
very light hazey pour. orange & lemony yeast nose(damn you orange peel, stay out of my beer) light cocoa mixed with the earthy light banan. finish is tart apple and orange with a lingering cookie note. BeerandBlues2 (2370), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jan 8, 2007 Draught at brewery. Pours clear light brown with a small fizzy off-white head, mostly diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, roasted, nutty), light hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (sweat, musty) with notes of smoke. Light bodied, thin texture, flat carbonation and a chalky finish. Short duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness. Aubrey (2549), Denver, Colorado, USA Jan 27, 2003 Bread dough aromas. Light in color. Came with an orange slice which I promptly removed. Soft, mild carbonation made it smooth and creamy. Sweet and tart orange notes with a lemon tartness. Finished with a dry bitterness. Nicely balanced. Clean and fresh tasting. Bitterness built with time. Enjoyable, lingering flavors in the finish. A lot of "weiss," but not much "dunkel." Nevertheless, pretty good.
