Commercial Description:
An Irish style dry stout that would make Uncle Mossy of Port Laois proud. Classically brewed with Kent Goldings Hops and offset by sweet malts, the end result is a rich, dark and gently roasted experience. Roasted and flaked barley finish this stout to create its well rounded body and extremely fragrant white head.

on tap-pours a light brown head and black color. Aroma is rich dark malt-cocoa/coffee/roasty/hazelnut, some earthy hops. Taste is rich dark malt-cocoa/licorice/coffee/roasty/hazelnut, some earthy hops. OK carbonation, towards a porter. Dry finish.

Slight charcoal aroma. Dark garnet brown, clear. Powerfully smoky flavor of heavily roasted barley. Ends in charcoal. They should call it a "rauchstout"

Pint at the brewpub. Pours near black with an almost white head. This seems to be a clean, straightforward delivery of a stout. The aroma is chocolatey and a little meaty. Slick palate. Flavor is meaty with lots of black chocolate and a dry finish. Typical dry stout, not bad.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark chocolate brown. Good head retention and lacing. Rich chocolate aroma with subtle coffee and hop notes. Taste is coffee, chocolate and vegetal hops. Medium bodied.

Deep mahogany pour, with an eggshell head that leaves trace soapy lace. Roasted grains and coffee to the nose. Immediate dry-roasted coffee and grains, with some nice bittering to add in the lasting finish.... makes for a nice linear pull. Mouthfeel is medium to medium-thin. A nicely integrated offering, and one of the better samples from the brewery.

Nice roasted malt aroma and taste, lighter style but not quite what I’d call a 13A. Pretty decent job of the beer though, I thought the roast malt balance was quite good.

Draught at the brewhaus, #444. Mahogany pour, decent head, no lacing. Roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt and toffee flavor. Light mouthfeel. Bit light color and mouthfeel for its style, but good.
