Amber with slight haze and good head. Pretty good balance, I can drink a lot of this beer and the alcohol is quite well hidden. My favorite beer from B&B.

Deep golden body, slightly cloudy. Aroma shows citrus fruit and tree sap. Mouthfeel is dominated by a prickly hop attack. Keeping the carbonation soft was a very good call. Long intensely bitter finish. Could use more malt backbone.

Orange pour with foamy white head and lace. Bready with citrus/resiny aroma. Caramel malt followed by a resiny bitter. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Pretty well balanced with a bitter that continues to grow on you.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Foxbush (761) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - AUG 22, 2009
My wife and I visted our Daughter at VT and took her and roommate to the Bull and Bones for lunch. I tried two of their ales. The IPA was a good looking brew with a nice forming white head and clear golden color. The hops flavors were not of citrus. They had the bitterness but not taste like Cascade. The bitterness at finish was smooth. I liked their Pale Ale as well.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SynergyXJ (510) - Blacksburg, Virginia, USA - MAR 30, 2009
Draught, #468. Hazy orange pour with small head. Citrus hop aroma and flavor. Probably the best brew the Brewhaus has to offer, very happy with this one.

Pour into a weird looking pint glass with an obnoxious handle at the brewpub. Well, I certainly was not expecting a serious, American IPA just given the selection of beer and the atmosphere of the pub, but this delivered. The aroma is sticky and hoppy with plenty of grapefruit, but not obnoxious amounts. The palate is sticky and bitter throughout. Reasonable citrus is ever present. This is not an over the top IPA, but it is sticky, dry, bitter and makes use of the PNW hop flavor well.
