Muddy brown with a khaki head. Complex aroma of flower pedals, red grapes, and big earthy malts. Didn’t really smell any sour, but sourness was pretty present on the taste. Nut puckering, but like a red wine, enough to give the whole palate a pop. Earthy taste featuring red wine, oak, Belgian yeast fruitiness/spice, and something I can’t put my finger on. It yells out "Belgian Quad". Tasty, fruity, complex, with a sweet finish. But the body was just a little too light. A nice attempt at something that could have been majestic.

Light hazy, purplish red pour - rather inviting nose of strong spicy oak and red wine tannins - the base beer must have been fairly mild, because the wine has really taken over the flavor, so much so that you can hardly taste the qualities of the beer - fairly creamy in the mouth - quite dry, with moderate, spicy oak and strong red wine character - just a hint of toasted graininess reminds you there is a beer under there - starts tasting more like watered down wine after a while - eh, this could be a lot better.
