Tap at the brewpub September 2012-Pours bright orange with a small head and some lite lacing. nose is hoppy resin, pine and lite diacytl. Hmm, flavors of resinous hops, diacytl, and pine. wow, an onslaught of pine. that seems to be the name of the game with this brewery-make every IPA piney as fuck! But damn, that stupid Diacytl needs to go away! A decent brew if there was no Diacytl.

Tap @ brewery. Orange, fairly clear appearance with a white head. Somewhat toasty, intense, somewhat boozy, caramel, piney aroma. Big thick caramel malty, sugary, quite boozy, light citrusy, piney flavor. I had a hard time drinking this one.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of a very sweet caramel, vanilla, almost bordering on a slight dms but not quite, hints of orange and pine in there as well, something seemed odd about this. Taste is also very sweet, some sugary cracker and vanilla, hints of caramel, slight grass and fruity notes, going into a kind of garlicky hop, finishing fairly sweet.

Clear beautiful dark golden with a small foamy white head. Big hoppy nose of pine resin, a slight vegetal tone, with a lovely little grapefruit rind bitterness. Also has a aroma of like rusty caramel. Taste is a little too vegetal "green" for my preference, but the rest of the flavor is good enough to make up for it. Nice bitter orange and grapefruitiness, a firm pine resin bitterness, but balanced by a firm caramel and earthy sweetness.
