On tap at the Fallen Rock. A little astringent English brown however dead on style.

Tap. Pours clear brown with thin, creamy beige head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is caramel and cookie malt, floral hops, dates, apples, and faint cloves. Flavor is sweet malt forward with some supporting hops and light fruit esters; semi-sweet finish. Medium body, low carbonation, and low warmth.

Draft. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of nuts. The flavor is pretty much like the aroma with a dry finish.

Crushed with Jakebra at Falling Rock. Average brown. Some substance but not much to it. A very drinkable brown just not that exciting.

On tap @ Falling Rock. Clear copper brown with a small beige head, fading to a thick film. Buttery toffee up front with some light toasted malts behind. Flavor is a little roastier and has less buttery notes, though still faintly present. Finishes semi-dry, lightly roasty, and nutty. Bitterness was @ a 2. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. OK brown.

Draft at brewpub. Pours brown with a thin brown head. Slight caramel note on the nose. A bit of malty goodness on the tongue with a hint of nuttiness. Clean finish. Hoping this would be stronger.

(draught) Dark-deep brown, no head. Nose of molasses, bit nutty - and I get some parsley again. There's hops there too. Taste is soft-sweet, nearly neutral taste. OK for a brown ale or a mild, but not exhilarating. Well-bodied, not thick. some sticky mouthfeel (molasses again?). Brown ale is not really my style, I suppose. This one is not really bad, but I can't go wacko over it.

I was excited by this beer since I love brown ales. I am disappointed. The flavor is good, but the beer is very thin and watery. Needs more body. Kick this up another notch and it could be great.

dark brown with beige head, it has a nutty aroma of roasted barley. medium bodied, the flavor is chocolatey with a hint of caramel. easy drinking.
