Tap: mild for an American but just right if it’s an English IPA. Wonderful aroma of citrusy hops with a smooth finish. Nice.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Steve’s in Term B in Denver. Creamy, fruity and quite malty. Zippy pepper pops in and out, sweet citrus is a clear second to the zip, plain caramel, boooooring.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ouray, Co. - Ouray Liquor Store - 1 pt .9 fl oz bottle. Dark copper pour, sticky off- white colored head, nice lacing. Aroma has dates and raisins, a touch of toffee. Flavor is very malt oriented with some caramel accents, some nutty accents, some peach marmalade accents, very brief citrus bitterness. Most definitely a British IPA. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Nice change of pace for an IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very mellow ipa. Strong malt back bone with a very light hopps balance. Had to get this one due to the name. Smells citruscy. Pours orange with a thin cream head

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Nowhere on the label does it mention that this is a British-style IPA. Granted, the Brits developed this style, and there are many aficionados, but I am a fan of the American style that emphasizes hops and downplays the malt. Had a few sips and poured the rest down the drain.
