COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This British-style IPA features citrus-filled aromas and a very malty foundation that marries nicely with the bold hop notes that emerge on the palate and ultimately dominate its lingering finish.

Draft at brewpub. Pours orange with a thin white head. Slight fruity note on the nose. A bit of hop flavor on the note. A slight bitter thing on the finish. Decent for sale but the moniker is a bit hyperbolic.

Hazy amber color. No nose to speak of. Malt heavy IPA that tastes more like ESB. If this is the flagship beer of this brewery, it doesn’t say much.

Tap. Pours clear amber/copper with thin, fizzy off-white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is grassy and floral hops, caramel and biscuit malt, dates, and light pine. Flavor is balanced sweet malt and hops (light bitterness) with faint supporting fruit esters; semi-sweet, dry finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

Well hopped nose. Hazy golden orange in color with excellent head. Very smooth and thick. Strong malt backbone but well balanced still with hops. Funny name and I love the pint glass that goes with! Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF

On tap at the brewpub, very hazy orange pour with nice white head. Aroma has notes of really nice citrus, with grapefruit, tangerine and orange leading the way, going into a nice caramel, toffee, biscuit middle. Taste has really nice bold grapefruit, orange, tangerine, some lemon, toffee, caramel, lots of nice biscuit to balance finishing bitter but very tasty. Best brew for sure at this place.

On tap @ B&B. Pour is hazy burnt orange with an off-white head. Aroma shows notes of caramel, pine, light florals and a touch of earth. Flavor shows the same with additional hints of orange peel and what seems like ginger.

Tap at brewpub, the pour is a dark brown, the smell is very hoppy, the taste is a very earthy hop and over the bitterness is just about right, really quite good, the description was an english IPA, so I wasnt expecting as much hop. But this was a pretty decent offering

growler. Pours a dark mahogany red color with nice sustaining off white head. Aroma of resiny, nectary, with big caramel, molasses malty notes as well. Medium to full bodied, quite creamy and a bit chewy. They describe it as an english IPA, and the flavor is definitely balanced, but there is a ton of hop presence, don’t be fooled. Low carbonation for the style, plenty of caramel and biscuit, a hint of toffee, and sweet, necary / resiny hops on the finish, with a lasting bitterness. Quite nice, very enjoyable.
