Copper. Unbelieveably aromatic with scents of lemons, grapefruit, pineapple, pine and wood. Characterful, but subtle in all ways and this is certainly lacking depth and body. Notes of aged dried hop pellets, grass and lemon. The malt backbone is fairly sweet.

At B&B Pub (with a fantastic steak, if I might add). A bit fruity and more than a bit hoppy... it was good enough for me to not even bother sampling others. It probably helped that I was there with a local who agreed that the Man Beer was the only way to go.

Well hopped nose. Hazy golden orange in color with excellent head. Very smooth and thick. Strong malt backbone but well balanced still with hops. Funny name and I love the pint glass that goes with! Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF

On tap at the brewpub, very hazy orange pour with nice white head. Aroma has notes of really nice citrus, with grapefruit, tangerine and orange leading the way, going into a nice caramel, toffee, biscuit middle. Taste has really nice bold grapefruit, orange, tangerine, some lemon, toffee, caramel, lots of nice biscuit to balance finishing bitter but very tasty. Best brew for sure at this place.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear golden orange with a frothy white head and great lacing. Big citrus and grapefruit in the aroma, earthy hops, somewhat spicy, caramel, and straw. Taste is citrus, orange peel, pine, light bread, and caramel with a big bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Damn decent IPA.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2003 Warm, smooth and creamy malt flavors swarmed my palate. Sweet, bitter and perfumey hops up front; slowly built into a healthy bitterness. Somewhat crisp in the finish. Sweet/malt/hop combo is nice. Very drinkable and very tasty. CASK: All the great things as above, but with cask qualities, of course (soft carbonation, creamy, yeasty). Notes of licorice. Good stuff!

Cask Conditioned. The beer is a hazy copper color, with a large frothy head that is slow to go away. The aroma has a hint of wood in it but smelled primarialy of caramel, and there is also a nutty smell this could have been caused by the cask though. THe initial taste is slightly sweet, and bitter, then it becomes hoppy. The finish is sweet but still bitter. overall it's a good beer.

Amber pour. Very big chewy resinous hop palate. Dry and tooth strippingly resinous. Lingering chewy earthiness. Very different from their regular IPA… tastes like sucking pine cones.
