Super dark brown, nearly black if not for the slightly brown edges. Foamy persistent light khaki head. Lovely cascade hop aroma of grapefruit and resinous floral bitterness. Hoppy nose that while not being too pungent or bitter, hides much of any detectable malt undertones. However, the flavor has a certain black roasted tone with some earthy and slightly burnt toast maltiness, very mild bready grainy sweetness, giving way to that cascade hop tone from the nose; bitter resinous floral notes, a touch of pine, and a dose of grapefruit rind. Burnt grain and piney finish.
