COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Pale Ale-style beer has an alluring autumn hue. Aromas of caramel, orange zest and light floral hops greet the nose. There is a pleasant sweet malt character up front followed quickly by apricot. The finish is crisp and hoppy, providing a nice counterpoint to the malt. Sporting a fuller body, it is richer and hoppier than our Golden Ale. Despite the name "pale," this style of beer is darker in color than our Golden Ale. Parrish Street was known as "Black Wall Street" with many local black owned businesses located on Parrish. HOPS USED: Northern Brewer, Goldings, Fuggles

Straw yellow pour with small white head. Aroma of some citrus and hops. Flavor was very thin, metallic, and watery, with a hint of said hops. To more tasted more like a lager than a pale ale, which is not a compliment by any means.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of floral hops with and herbal tinge along with stone fruits. The taste caramel malts, citrus, herbal and floral hop notes. Medium bodied.

A hop forward pale ale in the British style, piney hops are represented well in the aroma. Full mouthfeel with a long hoppy finish. Malts are earthy with a slight mushroom character.

On tap at BCBB, Durham. Nice that their flagship brew is one of their better offerings to date. Light orange pour with a honeyed look at its center, topped by a fairly thick creamy head. Nose had some mild fruits and a faint bready character amidst the more promiment hops, almost like a hoppy biere de garde on some level. Mouthfeel was a bit under-developed but not watery. Flavors were more floral than anticipated, not as APA-ish as expected. Balanced and quite drinkable.

Clean amber gold pour with one finger of creamy off white head. Lightly hoppy nose, very balanced and restrained. Grassy with a lightly sweet citrusy character. Nice balanced bitterness. Medium body and carbonation.

Lightly hazed orange amber. Very light florals, some caramel, toast. Body is extremely light and doesn’t have much hop or malt character. Its just there. Need to choose a direction (hop or malt forward) and go with it. Needs work.

Draft at the brewery. Copper color with a medium white head. Thin aroma of fresh hops, a little grassy with some citrus. Flavor starts off with sweet malts and caramel, then finishes quickly with a citrus/sweet hop bite. A clean, easy drinking pale ale that paired perfectly with the best hot dog ever made.
