On tap at the brewpub. Bright copper pour, with a sparkling carbonation and a medium head. Nose is light and elegant, with toasted malts and mild spice. Prickly mouthfeel, moderately full and with the subtlest of bites on the finish. You certainly get more of the pumpkin and spice to taste (not so much vanilla, far more cinnamon), but this is balanced by a good dose of dry hops.

Draught @ Bull City. Pours soft clean copper amber with one finger of sandstone tan head. Rich nose with notes of earthy pumpkin meat and pie spice. Very authentic pumpkin and spice character. Some toasted grain and spicy hops. Medium body and light carbonation.

Draft from BCBB. Pours slightly hazy amber-orange with a thin white head. Nose of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, mild clove, and a good bit of pumpkin. Better than most, and the pumpkin thankfully comes out more on the taste than the spice. Maybe it’s because I haven’t had any pumpkin beers this season, but I liked it and I don’t usually like this style.

Draft at brewery. Hazy reddish amber with a small white lace. Nose is mildly spicy, nutmeg stands out, some cinnamon and pumpkin too. Flavor is like warm mulled apple cider with some cinnamon and nutmeg. Lightly acidic and sweet finish. Meh.
