2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Bull Falls. Poured crystal-clear bright golden (toward the pale side) with a short white head. There wasn’t much to the aroma.. light honey malts with just a touch of lemon accenting. The flavor found honey, pale malts, and a pinch of vanilla at the core.. lemon zest gave a little bitterness and interesting-ed it up some.. easy drinking and well-balanced. Light-bodied and dry on the palate with a nice feel & flow.. very drinkable.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Draft at Old Fashioned. Off flavors galore. Butter, diacetyl, this one kinda sucks. Wow. Evidence that six row malt really sucks. Sugary and sweet, with a rusty graininess. Never again, thanks.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
[Tap] Sample notes from January 2009. Pours a golden color with a small light head. Grainy and slightly hoppy aroma. Sweet grass and citrus in the taste, with light and grainy malt characteristics as well. Average body, with rather high carbonation. Pretty unremarkable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draught at the brewery tap room in Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving off white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a white ring. Aroma of grassy hops, crystal golden malt and a touch of tart pear. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of bitter grassy hops, golden grain malt and a touch of grapefruit zest and pear. Finish has a sharp bitterness with a dry malt aftertaste that lingers after the finish. For a lager this even has flavor and character of an extra pale ale.
