3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, USA - AUG 22, 2010
On draught during GTMW 2010 Festival in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear copper amber colored brew with a slowly dissipating off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of biscuit caramel malt, medicinal hops, with a hint of toffee and some herbs. Taste is most of an English style IPA than the American citrusy style. Flavors of dry roasted malt, medicinal hops and some iced tea. Finish has a lingering dry powdery hop aftertaste with some roasted dark brownish malt.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Orange-brown, respectable beige head. Mild soapy aroma. Decent, met my low expectations. Soapy bitter, one dimensional hop presence. Not bad, maybe a little homebrewy, but no off flavors. Some thick crystal malt tones. A decently constructed beer, the hops are just too 1-D, a condition that plagues cost-cutting WI breweries.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ughsmash (5823) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 10, 2011
On tap at Bull Falls. Poured rich, deeper amber with a dense, sticky yellowy-beige head. The aroma was very malty with caramel and a touch of molasses leading.. pine and clean earthy bitterness surrounded.. too sweet, but aiight overall. The flavor found rich, grainy caramel sugars at the core with pine and other nondescript bitterness surrounding and lasting well through the finish.. balance and flow weren’t quite there, but again it was aiight. Medium-bodied and too sweet and grainy on the palate.. felt too heavy for the style.. OK brew.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 esjaygee (2599) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 4, 2010
On tap at the Bull Falls brewpub. Deep amber with a foamy beige topper that makes a bunch of lace. Aroma is heavy on the floral side with caramel to balance it out. Taste is hoppy and vegetal as hell. Floral hops, vegetal stalks, bready malt and some mild caramel. Semi-bitter on the finish, misses the mark.
