Tap at Wausau Mining Co. Red/maroon pour with little head but a lot of lacing. Smells toasty with slight caramel. Tastes of caramel and very slight toasty flavor. Creamy mouth feel. Good red.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draught at the Bull Falls brewery taproom in Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a bright and dark reddish amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin white ring. Aroma of toasted dry malt, a hint of caramel, and some grassy hops. Taste is medium to full bodied, with plenty of toasted English malts, balanced with some grassy hops and a hint of caramel. Finish is semi-dry with an excellent balance of dry malt and hop bitterness. Definitely closer to an authentic Irish Ale than an Irish Lager with a little extra hop presence for the American beer drinker. Well done!
