It pours a nice dark black and yields the same color body. A very nice half inch off-white/tan head appears and lasts for a good minute before dieing into the body. Moderate spider web lacing appears. The smell has the chocolate in front with some dark roasted coffee beans. The taste has pretty much the same smells combined very nicely in a smokey sort of way. The mouthfeel is smooth, yet heavy and feels great on my tongue. Overall, this is good for its style and for me.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy light brown head that faded rather quickly. The nose is malty and sweet with a heavy licorice presence. A slight bit of burnt rubber under the licorice, but it seems pretty minimal. The flavor is a little off though, it has a slight sour twang to the finish that indicates that there may be a slight infection in here. Itís not bad enough to ruin the whole experience, but it certainly taints it. Still some decent chocolate, roast, and licorice in here with some minimal alcohol. The body is a bit thinned out and extra fizzy from the slight infection. Some QC issues with this one for sure.

On tap in Bar Harbor. Pours a deep dark brown with a largish tan head and aromas of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is chocolate with a tartness to it like plum pit meat or something like that. Itís interesting.

Bottle. Pours black with no head whatsoever and no lacing. Aroma is toasty coffee, with a hint of chocolate. Taste is predominantly sour with background hints of chocolate and almost no bubbles at all. Will have to try another bottle sometime.

500ml bottle: This one pours a dark, inky brown color. There was very little tan head on it, and it left no lacing. The aroma is nice. Chocolate malts, some roastiness. The taste is also pretty good. Medium bodied, chocolate and roastiness. Nice balance between the two. A very decent porter.

Bottle from Natureís Way Market. $6.99. Dark, dirt brown color with almost flat carbonation. Nose shows me roasted barley and light chocolate. The major downfall is the real thin body. However, it does have some decent flavors. Roasted grain, barley upfront with light coffee and bitter chocolate in the finish. I donít pick out the ABV until its real warm. When it was chilled, I couldnít taste it at all.

Thanks to the kind soul who brought this to the recent Tampa Tasting. Pours a hazy baltic porter brown with a white head. Nose is roast, some dark fruit, some yeast, hints of cocoa, and coffee. Flavor is similar with dark fruit, coffee, roast, and lager coming to the front. Light to medium in body and lingering lager and roast in the finish.

Bottle 500 ? ml
Aroma quiet fruity front for lagered Baltic porter. Mid accented by hop sided with sweetness. Lighter darker touched followed.
Appearance dark brown with touch of black. Lighter beige cap. 4-
Flavor and Palate : medium bodied. Smoky with rather strong acidic coffee hints. Finish is more like you would expect from such beer but front Ö.forget it. Fruity with plum blended with alcohol finishing.

Pours dark brown almost black with no head. Aroma of bitter hops, roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste follows. Not a bad Baltic porter but a bit thin ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
