Will pour a five+ finger cream head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Hazy, pale amber color, some yeast left in bottle. Strong carbonation and medium bodied. Hay nose, sweet hay and bread flavor. $5.80 for a 500ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

On tap at the Novare Res Bier Café in Portland, ME. Pours a clear, golden colored body with a thin, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is slightly bready pale malts with a light floral hopping and lots of honey cereal malts. Flavor is similar. Honey sweetened cereal and pale malts up front with a light breadiness and a light floral hopping. Finishes a bit sweet while drying with a very light bitterness. Medium length aftertaste following a light body and a medium-light carbonation. Overall, a pretty basic, slightly honey sweetened pale lager. Not terrible, but far from good.

Part of Blind BIF 6. Thanks to Brez07. Served in a SAVOR wine glass. Pours a clear light golden color with a thin white head and just a touch of lacing. The nose brings forward some sweetness and a bit of a creamed corn character, leading me to think this could be a blonde or a cream ale. A bit of grain and some light hop bitterness through the finish. Could be a less-than-hoppy APA. Quite grainy. Slightly-bitter aftertaste. Light body. Not a huge fan.

Sampled at the DC Local Tasting a 50cl bottle that pours a hazy deep gold with a cloudy white head. Nose is garbage honey, smoke, mint. Flavor is spearmint smoke, wet pine needles, grossness. Thin, smokey finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with frothy, white head; good retention and some lacing. Aroma is sour malt, squash, and straw. Flavor matches the nose. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

500mL thanks to mdfb79. Good head retention on cloudy light peach. Nose is red, mealy apple with oddities. Trash, metals, fermenting fruit and plasticy phenols. Not diggin this. Taste is plasticy and just very chemically astringent. As if this isn’t even beer. Straight plastic character with ultra hydrogen peroxide suddiness. Very bad- almost feels unsafe for human consumption.

Bottle. Bright yellow, large white coca-cola head. Smells and tastes like a lager. And not in a good way.

(500 ml bottle from Belfast Co-op) Pours bronze-gold, lightly hazy. Three fingers of frothy white head. Aroma of honey, hay, vanilla, caramel and a whiff of metallic as head recedes. Mouthfeel smooth and beefy with soft carbonation. Flavor of honey-vanilla maltiness overlain by light-medium bitterness ending in a light bitter snap and unfortunately a touch of metallic. Nice beefy lager and very different for Maine.

On cask at Nerax North Pours a solid golden color with a minimal white head. Smells overwhelmingly of butter and butterscotch with bits of bread and toffee. I think I find some earthy hops. Taste is a harsh buttery mess, I have trouble with most of the glass. Medium to light body, light level of carbonation, with a slick mouthfeel. Wow in a cask this beer doesn’t work. Maybe this beer is to young and hasn’t had time to lose that diacytl in the lagering process. I’d be interested in trying a bottled version to compare, but I didn’t enjoy the cask.
