An American style Pale Ale with two malts that create a rich amber hue with an aromatic bouquet. The flavours on the palate are malty and biscuity with floral hops and moderate bitterness.

Bottle. Pale amber with a large white head. Aroma is floral with some citrus and peach, light bread and grains. An odd herbal note that doesn’t quite fit. Fairly light bodied, highish carbonation. There’s a little bread, honey and biscuit, but rather more peach with citrus and flowers wafting over the top. Moderate bitterness, fairly dry finish. Solid refreshment.

Draught @ brewery, Bruthen , Victoria Golden body, holds a small white head. Decent enough aroma; biscuity, toasty malts, light spicy hop character. Medium bodied, good carbonation. More of the same with nice biscuity malt backbone playing host to lightly citrus, spicy hop character of a non-descript variety. Moderate bitterness. Not too shabby.

On tap at the Brewpub. Served a copper color with a decent head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of citrus, bit of pine and some malt sweetness. Taste of citrus and some malt sweetness with a bit of fruit in the background. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly medium body and quite smooth. Decent beer, quite solid for the style.

Bottle from Dan Murphy’s. Nice and fruity. Aromas of honey, citrus, and peach. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and average length. Palate is velvety, highly carbonated. Orange, with a frothy head.

Dry and lean, and of course refreshing as a summer beer, but I think to a fault. Lacks some generosity and there’s a piney note which might point to a mild fault. I’m tipping this sample wasn’t in the best possible nick so will need to try again.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2015 Pours amber with a large white head. Nose shows a massive lilli-pilli (ha, as if anyone knows what lilli pilli is like) hop note, along with citrus (mainly grapefruit) and a little pine. Similar flavours, more lilli pilli and woody notes, with some faint biscuity and grainy malt also present. Could use a little less carbonation, I guess... Pretty decent attempt, somewhat different from most.
