Nice. As noted elsewhere softly carbonated and this really helps bring out the sweetness and chocolate (I suspect the abv helps as well). A touch of licorice and minerals fill out the flavour spectrum. Hints of RIS with some cherry choc too. A beer the brewery should be proud of.

640ml bottle. Well carbonated withs lots of soft beige foam packing the top of the glass. The foam settles quickly to form a low level layer atop a black base. Lots of chocolate and malt in the aroma with some burnt aromas seeping out. Big flavours of chocolate and licorice in the background. An easy to drink well balanced stout.

Pours dark brown with a massive head. Nose shows floral hops and soft nutty malt with hints of chocolate. Somewhat faint. Acidic flavours, also some savoury hints. Some faint roasty malt and nutty characters too. Could use more carbonation. Not great.
