COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bulldog is an award winning strong ale that was first brewed for the export market in 1947. The traditional recipe and maturing process of "warm conditioning" which takes place after fermentation, has been deliberately retained to preserve the strength and quality. The beer is dry hopped and the distinctive mellow flavour of Bulldog Strong Ale allowed to develop slowly.

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle at the Magic_dave6 shindig at Chris O’s.
Sim picked this one up on the last visit to Italy and we took it to Chris’s for the last tating. It never got drunk so it was still there when we went for Tom’s tasting. Thankfully I had people (drunk people) to share this with so I didn’t have to drink this to myself. Golden brown with a thin white head. Sour aroma with vegetables and a smell that I can only liken to household rubbish that is waiting to be taken out. Yum. Flavour is not quite so offensive but still far from good. Very malty, slight whiskey notes and more vegetation with the expected card and corn. Amazed at the reasonable rates this gets. I thought it was plain awful.

Small offwhite lasting head. Orange body with carbonation. Light fruity malty hoppy aroma. Sweet-dryish resiny fruity hoppy taste with a firm malty backbone. Herbal notes, and some honey. Very nice. (0.5 pint draft at Mulligan’s, Milan.)

0.33 l bottle. Pours dark yellow to orange clear body with extra small head forming after pouring the beer. Aroma is very weak, malty. But flavor is quite full, pleasant, very light, exceptional. Alcohol is felt maybe just a little on tongue as sparkling. Very nice long finish, maybe just a hint bitterish after a while. Average carbonation. Very good beer, if aroma was stronger it would gain higher score.

Crystal clear brown beer with a small-ish but lasting white head. Aroma is sweet and musty/malty, again sweet malt like flavour.

Light red ambar with creamy brownish head. Smell is caramel and malty. On mouth is complex, malty and rich yeast. Hops are notorious and ver dry in the aftertaste. Nice beer and highly recommend it.
