tronraner (1366), (Louis-, Sevier-, Knox-)ville, Tennessee, USA Oct 5, 2007 Draught at the brewpub, as Wit’s End. Pours hazy pale yellow with white head. The aroma is spicy clove, lemon zest, and lots of yeasty notes. the flavor is zest, but sweeter. Little notes of banana and spicy bread pop up throughout. Very floral finish. bigrond (843), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 11, 2007 this beer I thought was a little weak. No real flavor and was just okay. Very boring and not good. Glouglouburp (1829), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 19, 2006 Called BullFrog Wits End at the BCTC 2006, I suspect it is the same beer since this is the only witbier by BullFrog. Pours a cloudy yellow body with a smallish white head. Corriander, yeasty, citrusy, blablabla. Generic pub-style witbier. More a frog than a bull. Nate (2162), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 14, 2005 From growler. Nice Belgian aroma, coriander and bubblegum powder. Beemans. Good mild orangy citrus aroma and sweet aromatic malty hints. Light sugars. Light dull amber-yellow liquid, a bit hazy. Thin foamy lacing head. Medium watery body with light-medium carbonation, though it had travelled. Starts with a nice Belgian ale taste. Musty with bubblegum power, Beemans. Some estery floralness. Bit of a reminder of a saison, not a lot of wheat. Good sweetness throughout with a light citrus-orange taste. Very mild bitterness at teh end with just a bit of carbonic tang. Grassy herbal notes in the after, too. Nice ale. Holdwine (806), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Sep 18, 2003 Smells and looks appealing, even the first taste is pleasant enough. Then disaster strikes, a strange metallic taste overrides all the goodness, leaving a below average barely drinkable wit.
