They added brett to this batch and it worked well. +++ Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky pinkish color - like pink grapefruit juice - with a small foamy white head that left no lacing. The aroma was dry and bretty with a bit of yeastiness and some vague berry. The flavor was dry, bretty, musty and yeasty with notes of pepper and faint tart berries. Long dry brett, pepper and berry finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

Draft at Misconduct Tavern with Pj and Pat. Pours a light, hazy golden body with thin frothy white lacing. Aroma is wheat and muted berries. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of fruit, wheat, and a lager graininess. I wasn’t personally a big fan of this one.

[4662-20120817] Tap. Mild fruity yeast aroma. Clear light pink orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Light grainy fruit and yeast flavour. Light-medium body. Fair. (6/3/6/3/12) 3.0

On tap at Capone’s. Poured an amber color with a small sized head. This one was berries all the way around in the aromas and tastes. Definitely a fruit beer as berries where the dominate characteristic. Some what sweet with a very light berry tartness.

On tap, pours a clearish amber color. Small head and lacing. Aromas of raspberry and blackberry. The mouth on this was very light, almost lagery. Had a pleasant finishing sweetness but lacked an overall character. More of a session wheat ale with light fruits coming through. Ok, but I expect more from Bullfrog.

Draft at Capone’s. Poured an amber color with a little head. I get very little blackberry out of this. Very malty for a saison, doesn’t have that dry spritzy taste. Finishes very heavy for the style.

Pours golden amber somewhat clear with an off white head. Aroma is too light for me, some fruitiness and malts. The flavor bring light sweet berry fruit with a bit of more bitter than expected saison yeast. Nog rrally any funk present with a sweet and yeasty malt ending.

2012-08-17. Dark yellow body has just a hint of a pink or purple hue to it, small off-white head. Flavour is a bit odd, the fruity character seems to clash a bit with the underlying grainy malt profile. Average plus bodied palate. Mild aroma of light fruit and light saison funk with muted alcohol touches. Okay. Odd. On tap at Bullfrog, Williamsport

Draft. Hazy orange pour with some white head. Light yeast and hints of berry tones in aroma. Light berry flavors with background yeasts and brett tones.
