Tap. Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber body with a one finger frothy off-white head that left some decent lacing. The nose is a nice mix of sweet smoked malt and sour cherry. The smoke definitely dominates, but it is quite unlike most smoke beers. The flavor is smoky enough to please this huge fan of smoked beer. Nicely sweet up front, similar to Schlenkerla Marzen, but then finishes with a quite unexpected twist of slightly tart cherry pie filling. Medium bodied, almost chewy with nice light fizzy carbonation. Another truely unique offering from the new brewer! This place is going to be fine in his hands!
