4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Nate (3093) - Indiana, USA - MAY 16, 2006
Growler. Nice fruity hops with deep malty sweetness. Some yeastiness, too. Orange peel and dry hay, candi sugar and molasses. Fruit skins and an herbal tang. Golden dark amber clear with thin lacing head. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Great taste. Smooth caramel and brown sugar sweetness. Fruity funky notes with Belgian ale character like orange peel esters and yeasties. Bit of funky fruitness to it and some nice alcohol warming. Dry bitter after and fruity tangy finish. This is a nice ale with a good balance of sweet and bitter.

very hazy gold-amber, large puffy white, leaves heavy when it dissipates slightly. Nose is doughy, toasty, with yellow apple, very sweet and soft, tons of balance and detail. Flavor is equally sweet, apple and dough, bit metallic in finish. Soft body supports balanced, rich yet refreshing profile.

750mL thanks to MrChopin. Pours a clear to cloudy glowing golden with a thick, full off-white, creamy head leaving perfect 360 sheety lacing. Effervescent. Vanilla nose with thick pound cake and big birthday cake.Taste is a bit minty with orange mint and lots of fresh yellow apple pie. A bit like Bullfrog’s Tripel. Rich yellow apple with small white sugar raw. Really yummy.

Big thanks to Sean for sharing this! Pours a hazy orange gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains and bread backed by light notes of light fruits and funk. Flavor has notes of sweet grains and sweet bread with some backing sweet fruit with a hint of funk, but a bit too sweet.

Bottle shared by kmweaver on 8/7/08: Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with a large frothy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet biscuity malts and Belgian yeast with some floral noble hops and light fruity esters. Starts with a nice malty sweetness and good balance of earthy bittering hops before a drier, fairly full semi-dry finish. A good Belgian ale.
