tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 25, 2007 From growler - medium orangeish color - off white head. Big hop aroma, citrus, grapefruit, fresh cut grass, wood, and other fruits. Bold hop flavor that exploded on the tongue. Body was slightly resiny, but smooth . Clean, dry finish.
jehoey (696), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 20, 2008 Nice hoppy aroma some pine and citrus. pours amber with nice head. nicely balanced and not as dry as some, but not confused and cloyingly sweet. The maltiness in this one doesn’t deminish the hops. I still think I prefer the ultra dry and hoppy double ipa, but this was a good take on a maltly one, a more east coast styled version. medium bodied. grapefrult and pine in the flavor as well as some biscuit. nice ipa. nearbeer (1101), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 14, 2008 Updated: Jul 20, 2008Cask draft at brewpub. Hazy, orange-copper with a small but lasting head. Aroma is grapefruit, resin and slight molasses. Flavor is earthy resin, some citrus and molasses. Medium body is smoothish, with just enough hop roughness and drying. Pretty nicely balanced. sleepylopes (264), New York, USA Jun 20, 2008 is ok not as hoppy as its discribed. as a hop head i have no problem with mild ipa, but dont pump it up as a hopp bomb and not deliver, bavarian barbarians is beeter.
