Bottle 288/467 from hbmason...thanks Tim! Pours light amber with a huge foamy white head. Big bretty nose, dry, with lemon and some tart funk. Taste is light herbal hops with lemon rind, funky brett, and a touch of plastic. Dry, citrus rind finish. Crazy carbonation on this one, and a pretty fluffy body. Crisp and pretty refreshing, but very brett-forward.

750 ml bottle shared by madvike in like for GTMW tickets. Thanks! Bottle 288/467. Pours a rich golden orange hue, firm haze, offering a rich thicker bubbly whitish head atop, laces ok and sticks around. Aromas are rich firm bretty funk, cobwebs and touches of tangelo and berry. Mellow citrus, gentle lactic lemony acid, some yogurt. Lively, fruity and bretty firm push. Initial is lighter bodied, offering lively effervescent carbonation driven body. Dry funky brett, yeast, and funk. Carbonation and champagne driven yeast. Gentle fruit, dry touches of citrus and faint lactic acid. Richer cheesy funk, some good funk and dryness pairs into the finish. Pretty solid, dry and brett driven. Touches of oak, faint red dies out quickly. Solid and lively, refreshing.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 jredmond (2819) - Manhattan, New York, USA - APR 1, 2012
UPDATED: APR 2, 2012 Bottle split with Linh. Pours a deep bright hazy orange amber with thick white lacing. Aroma is funky Brett and sour saison. Mouthfeel is very carbonated with notes of funky saison, Brett, lemon, sour fruit. This guy could probably last a few more years given that the carbonation was super aggressive.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 crosamich (201) - Naples, Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Sep2010. This one has some phenolic funk and more saison-like. A little more funky than I would like in a wild ale. I believe this was all Brett so expect this one to age out to more funk with time. I fell victim to the hype and knew it before I sent my box off.

First off pour this one carefully. On the nose it’s full of clove and other spices with a nice sourness. Not crazy but a good amount of sourness. In the taste, I wanted more sourness, it’s mild. Overall the sourness mixes well with barnyard funk, citrus, and ends with the spiciness of the cloves and Belgian yeast. Has a lot of it’s base beer in it, El Diablo, which is Belgian Strong Pale Ale and a little bit of sourness from the Brett. Overall nice but just missed for me.

Hefiger und trockener Beginn mit deutlichen Hopfeneinflüssen. Dann sehr trocken, die Hefigkeit sinkt. Geringe Bitterkeit, drückend herb. Unausgewogen! 12/8/8/10/11/8

Cork pops out hard, slow gusher, have glasses ready. Pour is transparent light golden orange with tons of fluffy white head. The nose has a ton of hop and fruity brett aromas, Very citrusy and perfumy with a light floral presence. The flavor is great, very dry and bright citrus fruits, perfumy and lightly floral hop. Peppery spice underneath with more grapefruit and citrus in the finish. The body is medium, extremely dry finish and subtle but assertive carbonation. Flavors are very bright, well balanced and integrated with a heavy hop/brett taste.

Appearance : Clear yellow with big foamy white head.
Aroma : Great brett with light spices. Light tropical fruits. Light citrusy tartness.
Taste : Great brett with nice malt. Light spices. Light citrusy tartness again. Nice fruits.
Overall : Very nice. Exactly my kind of sour/wild ale. Not very sour but nicely tart. Great brett also with nice tropical fruits. Quite drinkable and well balanced. a bit similar to Sanctification but not as complex and refined. Still, I enjoyed this quite a lot.

Thanks MrChopin. Hazy amber with a small white head. Dry cheesy brett to the max. Massively dry citrus, earth, and lemon. The amount of dry earthen brett is pretty awesome! Quite a nice bottle.
